Ownership, both directions
Who owns the biggest slice, and what stock do they own?
499 companies. The 140 largest are researched with AI against primary filings and carry both directions: the stakes they hold in others, and the holders on their own register, 2042 positions in all with a source and a date on every one. The other 359 are S&P 500 constituents with a register built from institutional 13F filings. Search reaches the 586 largest managers too, so a name like Vanguard lands on what it owns rather than on who owns it.

S&P 500 registers359 more companies, 368,281 manager positions, from 13F filings
Register only: who owns them. What they own has not been researched, and these pages say so rather than showing an empty holdings section. Sorted by how many managers reported a position. Search above reaches all 499.
Showing the 60 most widely held companies. , or reach any of them through search.
Unique findings
12 ownership facts that a screen or a 13F sweep does not show, each one traced to the filing that proves it. They are grouped by the kind of trap rather than by industry, because the same trap turns up at unrelated companies and the recurrence is the useful part.
Named only in the XBRL
CorningGLW
The investor's name appears nowhere in the words of the filing
Corning's Q2 2026 report describes a securities purchase agreement with 'a customer' in a long-term partnership to strengthen US manufacturing for AI infrastructure. It never names the counterparty in prose. The counterparty is NVIDIA, identified only by the XBRL member tag glw:NVIDIAMember attached to that same disclosure. Nvidia took a pre-funded warrant over 3,000,000 shares for 500 million dollars cash at an exercise price of one hundredth of a cent, plus a traditional warrant over up to 15,000,000 more at 180 dollars. Warrants of this kind are not reportable on Form 13F, so no institutional filing shows the position at all.
No proxy exists
BlackstoneBX
Controlled by a man who owns none of the listed stock
Stephen Schwarzman beneficially owns zero Blackstone common shares. His control runs through 231,924,793 Blackstone Holdings Partnership Units, a separate instrument, and through two single-share preferred classes that carry more than half the voting power for director elections. Because that structure makes Blackstone a controlled company, it has never filed a proxy statement in its history: Item 12 of the 10-K substitutes for one. His register row is deliberately unsized, because putting units into a share field would have drawn him as roughly 31 percent of a class he does not hold.
Only in a foreign filing
Charles SchwabSCHW
A ten percent holder left, and no US ownership filing says so
Toronto-Dominion Bank held about a tenth of Schwab from the 2020 TD Ameritrade deal, then sold the entire remaining position of 184,678,738 shares on 12 February 2025 for roughly 14.4 billion dollars. The disposal is disclosed in TD's own Form 6-K exhibit as a foreign private issuer. No Schedule 13D or 13G filed after August 2024 records the exit, so a search of US ownership filings alone still implies TD is a major holder.
A government on the register
IntelINTC
The United States is the second largest shareholder, on terms a share count hides
Intel's own proxy lists the US government at 433,323,000 shares and 8.4 percent, sourced to the company stock registry rather than to any institutional filing. The figure assumes the full release of 149,438,785 shares still held in escrow and released only as CHIPS programme disbursements arrive, and it excludes warrants over a further 241 million shares exercisable only if Intel's ownership of Intel Foundry falls below 51 percent. Nvidia and SoftBank sit on the same register from the same period of capital raising.
A stake in a company with no register
FedExFDX
It kept a fifth of the business it spun off, and the spinoff is invisible to 13F data
FedEx completed the separation of FedEx Freight on 1 June 2026 and retained 29,751,545 shares, 19.9 percent, worth about 4.47 billion dollars, which it has said it intends to monetise within two years. FedEx Freight registered under a new SEC identifier, and institutional filers still report only FEDEX CORP, so the automated register for the spinoff is empty even though its largest shareholder is the former parent.
A share class no manager reports
VisaV
The banks that founded it still hold a class the market never sees
Visa's listed Class A is what every institutional filing reports. Class B-3 and Class C exist because the banks that owned Visa before the 2008 listing were paid in them, and those shares do not trade. PNC's own quarterly report puts its Class B-3 at about 0.5 billion dollars and its remaining Class C and converted Class A at about 0.3 billion, with no share count given anywhere. Its position is therefore absent from every 13F, and the conversion ratio into Class A moves with Visa's litigation escrow, so a share count cannot be derived without inventing the assumption.
The denominator moved
Honeywell TechnologiesHON
A reverse split halved the share count, and every stale percentage doubled
Honeywell separated its aerospace business on 29 June 2026 and a one for two reverse split took effect the same day, taking shares outstanding from 633,653,119 at the end of March to 316,940,010 at the end of June. Any holding measured before that date is stated in old shares. Divide one of those old counts by the new total and every percentage doubles: Vanguard reads twenty percent instead of ten. The register here states each row's own basis for that reason.
Family vehicle outside the group
NikeNKE
The largest holder is a limited company that the officers' total does not contain
Swoosh LLC holds 221,750,000 Nike Class A shares, 78.8 percent of that class, and Class A elects a majority of the board while Class B is what trades. The proxy lists Swoosh only under five percent stockholders, never among directors and officers, and the arithmetic confirms it: the officers and directors group totals 13,323,115 shares, of which the sixteen named individuals account for 12,964,547, leaving 358,568 for everyone unnamed and no room at all for Swoosh. Adding the two together would have double counted the family holding.
An operating company filing a 13F
MerckMRK
A pharmaceutical company files the same ownership form as an asset manager
Form 13F is filed by institutional investment managers, so an operating company is not where you look for one. Merck files it, co-filed with Merck Sharp and Dohme, and its information table lists thirteen minority stakes in listed biotechnology companies including Moderna, Personalis and Kymera. Pfizer files one with seventeen positions, Gilead five, Cisco four and Uber seven. For these companies the strongest source for what they own is the form usually associated with the funds that own them.
The stake that had already gone
Mondelez InternationalMDLZ
Two famous coffee holdings, both sold before anyone stopped citing them
Mondelez is still widely described as a large shareholder in JDE Peet's and Keurig Dr Pepper. Its own filings show both are gone: the remaining 85.9 million JDE Peet's shares went to JAB in the fourth quarter of 2024 for 2.2 billion euros, and roughly 76 million Keurig Dr Pepper shares were sold during 2023. What remains is two Korean joint ventures, Dong Suh Foods at 50 percent and Dong Suh Oil and Fats at 49 percent, neither of which can be sized because the filing reports one combined balance for both.
One private company, several owners
CSXCSX
The railroads jointly own the wagons, in shares that differ by company
TTX Company pools rail cars for the North American railroads, and several of them hold it at once in different proportions. CSX reports about 20 percent at a carrying value of 1,055 million dollars; Union Pacific reports 37.03 percent at roughly 2.0 billion. CSX also holds Conrail at 42 percent of the economics but 50 percent of the votes, a split that a single ownership number cannot express. None of it appears in any institutional filing, because TTX and Conrail are private.
Divested, not written down
AltriaMO
The JUUL stake did not collapse in value, it was handed back
Altria's investment in JUUL is usually remembered as a write-down from about 12.8 billion dollars to almost nothing. The filings record a different ending: in March 2023 Altria transferred its entire JUUL equity back to JUUL in exchange for an intellectual property licence, so the holding is zero because it was given away rather than merely impaired. What Altria still holds is 8.1 percent of Anheuser-Busch InBev, carried at 8,577 million dollars against a fair value of 13.2 billion, and 42.2 percent of Cronos.
They own each other
Edges inside the researched set. Where both sides were researched independently, the two share counts agree exactly, which is the strongest evidence available that a figure is real rather than plausible.

221 private companies that the researched set holds stakes in. No 13F reports any of them, which is why the 359 registers cannot see them and why these pages exist at all. Each one lists its disclosed holders with the filing behind every figure.

Where the register data comes from, and what it misses
Built from the SEC's quarterly Form 13F data set for filings made March to May 2026, using the quarter ended 31-mar-2026 only, so no register mixes quarters. A 13F reports US listed, long, US custodied positions, which makes any register from it a floor rather than a level.
2 constituents have no register: FedEx Freight, Honeywell Aerospace. No manager reported them at all this quarter. Both are newly separated registrants with their own new filing identities, and filers still report only the parent company, so there is nothing yet to aggregate. They are deliberately not given their parent's register, which would credit them with holdings nobody reported. A register will appear once managers report the new tickers.
