The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 2,123 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
2,123 managers reported a position, together holding 497.1m shares, or 74.5% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Fiscal year ends 31 August. The most recent Form 10-K is for FY2025 (period ended 31 August 2025, filed 10 October 2025); the most recent Form 10-Q is for Q3 FY2026 (period ended 31 May 2026, filed 18 June 2026), confirmed as the latest via the EDGAR submissions feed as of 17 August 2026. The FY2026 10-K (period ending 31 August 2026) had not been filed as of this research date.
- Share structure: Accenture plc (Irish domiciled, CUSIP G1151C101, NYSE: ACN) has Class A ordinary shares (listed, one vote per share, entitled to dividends) and Class X ordinary shares (unlisted, held only by Accenture Holdings partners, one vote per share, no dividend or liquidation rights, converted/redeemed as the partner's underlying Accenture Holdings interest is exchanged for Class A shares). As of 4 June 2026: Class A issued 667,510,210 of which 55,568,101 are held in treasury by Accenture itself (net outside holders: 611,942,109); Class X outstanding 300,673, held by 14 holders of record per the FY2025 10-K.
- Denominator policy for this file: every register row states its own pct_denominator explicitly and none are mixed silently. Rows sourced from 13F filings and the proxy's insider table use Class A ordinary shares outstanding NET of Accenture's own treasury holding, matched to the date closest to that row's as_of (611,942,109 for the 30 June 2026 13F cohort; 615,306,754 for Vanguard's 31 Dec 2025 13F; 615,355,540 for the proxy's 1 Dec 2025 insider table). The one exception is the treasury row itself, which necessarily uses the GROSS issued Class A count (667,510,210) as its denominator, since expressing treasury shares as a percentage of a total that already excludes them would be circular.
- Accenture plc itself files Form 13F-HR under CIK 0001467373 (most recent, period 30 September 2024, filed 31 October 2024, and consistently for prior quarters back to at least 2023). Every one of these filings reports a single information-table line reading 'No securities', CUSIP 000000000, value $0 and 0 shares: Accenture is a technical 13F filer with nothing to report, not an investment manager holding a portfolio. This is unrelated to Accenture's own holdings as an operating company and is not treated as a holding.
- Holdings is empty and that is a sourced finding, not a gap. The FY2025 10-K (period ended 31 August 2025) and the Q3 FY2026 10-Q (period ended 31 May 2026) were both fetched and searched for 'Accenture Ventures', 'equity method', 'non-marketable', 'measurement alternative', 'strategic investment', 'unrealized gain' and 'investments in unconsolidated'. Both disclose only a combined, two-line non-current investments table with no investee named: as of 31 May 2026, equity method investments $356,422,000 and investments without readily determinable fair values $568,902,000 (total $925,324,000), versus $355,276,000 and $365,984,000 (total $721,260,000) as of 31 August 2025. The 10-K states these are equity securities in privately held companies, which is exactly where Accenture Ventures' growth-stage technology investments would sit, but per the brief's rule against assigning a combined balance to any one investee, every individual holding is recorded as null and omitted from the holdings array rather than guessed; the combined totals are recorded here instead.
- The 2025 proxy's own 'Beneficial Ownership of More Than 5%' table (as of 1 December 2025, sourced to Schedule 13G/A filings) lists The Vanguard Group at 63,802,647 shares (10.4%, from a 13G/A filed 7 April 2025) and BlackRock, Inc. at 47,931,575 shares (7.8%, from a similarly dated 13G/A). Both are stale relative to the managers' own more recent 13F-HR figures used in the register above (Vanguard 66,070,930 as of 31 Dec 2025; BlackRock 62,162,363 as of 30 June 2026). The register uses the managers' own, more recent 13F data, consistent with the brief's preference for the freshest primary source.
- The EDGAR submissions feed's 'recent' filings window (covering 23 March 2023 to 6 August 2026 under this CIK) contains no SC 13G or SC 13G/A filed after 13 February 2024, which does not match the proxy's citation of an April 2025 13G/A for Vanguard; that specific 2025 filing was not independently located or fetched within the time budget and is relayed here only as reported by the proxy.
- Market capitalisation ($108.25 billion, close of $176.89 on 14 August 2026) and shares outstanding (611.94 million) are as published by stockanalysis.com. Cross-check: 611,942,109 (this file's own net-of-treasury Class A count derived from the 4 June 2026 10-Q cover page) closely matches stockanalysis's independently reported 611.94 million, despite the roughly two-month gap between the two dates.
- ACN's stock price fell sharply between the two 13F reference dates used in this file: roughly $268 per share implied by Vanguard's 31 December 2025 position value, versus roughly $124 per share implied by the 30 June 2026 13F cohort (BlackRock, State Street, Geode, FMR, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan), before recovering to $176.89 by 14 August 2026. This is a real, large move reflected consistently across five independent 30 June 2026 filings, not a data error; flagged here so the swing is not mistaken for a mismatched CUSIP or a stock split (no split was reported).
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- No individual Accenture Ventures portfolio company (or any other equity-method or measurement-alternative investee) is named in either the FY2025 10-K or the Q3 FY2026 10-Q; only the combined $925.3 million (May 2026) / $721.3 million (Aug 2025) non-current investments total is disclosed. Searched Note on non-current investments in both filings; no per-position breakout exists.
- The FY2026 10-K (period ending 31 August 2026) was not yet filed as of 17 August 2026, so any equity position taken, resized or exited during Q4 FY2026 is not visible in this research.
- A Schedule 13G/A for Vanguard dated 7 April 2025, cited by the 2025 proxy statement, could not be independently located in the EDGAR submissions feed's recent filings window (which shows no SC 13G/A after 13 February 2024) and was not fetched directly; relayed only as the proxy reports it.
- No sovereign wealth fund (e.g. Norges Bank, GIC, Temasek) position could be sourced; the proxy's 5%-holder table lists only Vanguard and BlackRock, and sovereign funds typically do not file Form 13F, so no primary share count is available by that route within the time budget.
- Capital Group, T. Rowe Price and other large active managers' 13F positions in ACN were not individually queried within the time budget; only the seven managers named in the brief (Vanguard, BlackRock, State Street, Geode, FMR, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan) were pulled for the register, plus the proxy's insider and treasury disclosures.
- Whether Accenture Holdings (the partnership behind the Class X structure) itself, or any single Accenture Holdings partner, individually crosses a disclosable ownership threshold was not found; the 2025 proxy states no person owned more than 5% of Class X shares as of 1 December 2025, and no Schedule 13D/G by an individual Class X holder was located.
