The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 3,078 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
3,078 managers reported a position, together holding 204.1m shares, or 76.6% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- GE Vernova was spun off from General Electric (now GE Aerospace) on 2 April 2024. It does not file Form 13F itself: the EDGAR submissions feed for CIK 0001996810 (checked 17 August 2026) contains no 13F-HR or 13F-NT of any vintage, consistent with GE Vernova not acting as an institutional investment manager.
- GE Aerospace, the former parent, retained no disclosed stake in GE Vernova after the spin-off. The FY2026 DEF 14A discusses the spin-off only historically and the 5-percent-stockholder table (FMR, Vanguard, BlackRock) contains no GE Aerospace entry, so no strategic holder row is recorded for the former parent here.
- Shares outstanding (266,333,581) is the 30 June 2026 cover-page figure from the Q2 FY2026 Form 10-Q (period ended 30 June 2026, filed 22 July 2026). It fell from 269,529,464 at 31 December 2025, consistent with the $10 billion buyback program the 10-Q describes.
- Institutional register rows use each manager's own Form 13F-HR: BlackRock, FMR, State Street, Geode, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley all report the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (filed Aug 2026). Vanguard's most recent 13F-HR under CIK 0000102909 covers the quarter ended 31 December 2025 (filed 29 January 2026); no more recent 13F-HR appears under that CIK as of 17 August 2026, so its row is one to two quarters staler than the others (flagged via a distinct as_of date, not smoothed over).
- Proxy cross-check, recorded rather than resolved. GE Vernova's 2026 DEF 14A (record date 3 March 2026) lists FMR LLC at 24,012,018 shares (8.7%), The Vanguard Group at 23,958,951 shares (8.7%) and BlackRock, Inc. at 17,964,644 shares (6.5%) as 5-percent stockholders, but those figures are sourced to Schedule 13G/13G-A filings from November 2024 and January 2025, i.e. older than the 13F data used in the register above. The register uses the fresher 13F figures; all three managers' 13F share counts differ from the stale 13G-sourced proxy numbers, most notably FMR's 24.0 million (proxy, late 2024) versus 16.2 million (13F, 30 June 2026), a real decline over the period rather than a data error.
- The combined equity method investment balance was $1,384 million at 30 June 2026 (down from $1,834 million at 31 December 2025), per Note 11 of the Q2 FY2026 10-Q, split by segment only: Power $938 million, Electrification $83 million, Wind $26 million, Corporate $336 million. This combined figure is not distributed across individual investees in the 10-Q and no single member's share of it is assumed; Aero Alliance and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy are named as included within the Power segment bucket but not individually resized as of 30 June 2026, so their holdings rows above use the last individually disclosed figures (31 December 2025, from the FY2025 10-K).
- The FY2025 10-K's investee-level equity method table (31 Dec 2025 balance, in millions) was: China XD Electric $0 (equity method balance; reclassified, see below), Aero Alliance $569, Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy $184, Prolec GE $384, Other $697, total $1,834, which reconciles exactly to the Q2 2026 10-Q's segment-level 31 Dec 2025 total. The 'Other' $697 million bucket covers multiple unnamed investees and is not broken out further in either filing, so it is not recorded as a named holding; it is called out here and in unknowns instead of being distributed across any named entity.
- Prolec GE and China XD Electric are both recorded above at their last individually disclosed measurement date (31 December 2025) even though both positions have since ended: Prolec GE became a wholly owned, consolidated subsidiary on 2 February 2026 (GE Vernova bought out Xignux's remaining 50%), and China XD Electric was fully divested during the first half of 2026 (per the Q2 FY2026 10-Q). They are included as historical snapshots because the FY2025 10-K individually sizes each of them, per the same table and column used for Aero Alliance and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy; a reader should treat both as no longer held as of the most recent (Q2 FY2026) filing.
- China XD Electric's $0 balance in the Note 11 equity-method table at 31 Dec 2025 does not mean GE Vernova held nothing: during 2025 its ownership fell below the equity-method threshold and the remaining stake was reclassified into All other current assets at fair value ($466 million at 31 Dec 2025, Note 10, Level 1 quoted price), which is the figure recorded in holdings above.
- GE Vernova has a single class of common stock, $0.01 par value, one vote per share; no dual-class structure and no founder/family control block. CEO Scott Strazik's 409,522 shares (0.15%) is the largest individually named insider position and carries no enhanced voting rights.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- The individual 30 June 2026 balance of Aero Alliance and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy. The Q2 FY2026 10-Q (Note 11) discloses only the combined Power-segment equity method balance ($938 million); no investee-level breakdown was published for that date within the time budget. The FY2025 10-K figures ($569 million and $184 million respectively, at 31 December 2025) are used instead and dated accordingly.
- The composition of the $697 million 'Other' equity method investment bucket (31 Dec 2025) / the corresponding unnamed portion of the 30 June 2026 balance. Searched both the FY2025 10-K and Q2 FY2026 10-Q Note 11; neither names the constituent entities.
- GE Vernova's precise final ownership percentage and share count in China XD Electric as of 31 December 2025 (after the ~2 point and ~3 point reduction during 2025). Checked FY2025 10-K Note 10 (footnote a, gives fair value only) and Note 11 (footnote a, gives only the percentage-point reductions, not a starting or ending ownership level, and does not reference Note 19 with any further ownership detail). No pre-2025 ownership percentage was found either, so no starting level exists to net the reductions against.
- Whether GE Vernova holds any non-marketable or measurement-alternative equity securities in private companies outside the equity-method investments note. Searched the Q2 FY2026 10-Q and FY2025 10-K for 'non-marketable', 'measurement alternative' and 'equity securities'; no such disclosure was found, only the equity-method investments note and routine repurchase-program language under 'equity securities'.
- Current, non-stale 5-percent-stockholder disclosure directly from GE Vernova (its own DEF 14A 5-percent table is sourced to 2024/2025-vintage Schedule 13G filings). No Schedule 13G/13G-A filed on GE Vernova stock after January 2025 was found in the EDGAR filing index for CIK 0001996810 as of 17 August 2026, so the register relies on the managers' own 13F-HR filings instead.
- Vanguard's 30 June 2026 (or later) GE Vernova position. Only a 13F-HR for the quarter ended 31 December 2025 is on file under CIK 0000102909 as of 17 August 2026; no 13F-NT or later 13F-HR was checked exhaustively for a possible alternate Vanguard filer entity within the time budget.
- Any sovereign wealth fund or other strategic (non-institutional-index, non-insider) holder of GE Vernova at reportable size. None surfaced in the DEF 14A 5-percent table or the 13F register compiled here; not separately searched via Schedule 13D/13G beyond the index check above.
