The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 2,873 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
2,873 managers reported a position, together holding 173.2m shares, or 75.0% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Lockheed Martin does not currently act as an institutional investment manager reporting its own strategic holdings on Form 13F. It historically filed 13F-HR under its own CIK (0000936468), most recently for the quarter ended 30 September 2023 (filed 9 November 2023, accession 0000936468-23-000125), reporting a tiny three-line, $12.1 million portfolio and listing Astrolink International LLC as another included manager. No 13F-HR or 13F-NT has been filed under this CIK since. This lapsed filer history is unrelated to Lockheed Martin's own equity, is not a strategic holding, and is not carried forward into the holdings section.
- State Street is trustee (State Street Bank and Trust Company, SSBTC) of the Lockheed Martin Salaried Savings Plan and other Lockheed Martin benefit plans held in a master trust, and State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is the independent fiduciary and investment manager for the same trust plus State Street's ordinary index business. Per the 2026 DEF 14A (citing a Schedule 13G/A as of 31 December 2023, since the proxy itself is not current), of State Street's then-total 37,056,708 shares, SSBTC held 27,695,096 specifically as plan trustee (about 75 percent) and SSGA the remainder. The register above uses State Street's more current Form 13F-HR figure (32,975,170 shares, 30 June 2026), which does not itself split trustee from index/investment-manager shares, but given the proxy's split the position is very likely dominated by plan-trustee stock rather than ordinary index money. Recorded holder_type as esop_trust for that reason rather than index.
- T. Rowe Price Associates' 30 June 2026 info table reports the value field in thousands of dollars, unlike every other 30 June 2026 filer checked here, which report whole dollars. Corrected by multiplying by 1,000; the resulting implied per-share price (about $509.50) matches the implied price on every other 30 June 2026 13F row (State Street, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Geode, Invesco, Bank of America, Northern Trust, FMR, Wellington all imply $509 to $511 per share), which is the basis for treating the raw figure as a units artifact rather than a genuine outlier.
- Percentages are computed by this research against a stated share count, not taken from a filing. Rows dated 30 June 2026 use 230,790,753 shares outstanding as of 20 July 2026 (Q2 FY2026 10-Q cover page). The Vanguard row (31 December 2025) uses 230,080,240 shares as of 26 January 2026 (FY2025 10-K cover page). The two insider rows (2 March 2026) use the same 230,080,240 figure, the closest available count.
- Lockheed Martin separately discloses a combined portfolio of investments in early-stage private technology companies (common or preferred stock, warrants, convertible debt, or fund interests), carried at $784 million at 28 June 2026 and $669 million at 31 December 2025, per the Q2 FY2026 10-Q fair-value note. No individual portfolio company is named anywhere in the 10-Q. Per the brief's rule against distributing a combined balance across members, no holding entry is recorded for it; the aggregate figure is disclosed here and in unknowns instead.
- Lockheed Martin's total equity-method investment balance was $653 million at 31 December 2025 and $654 million at 31 December 2024 per the FY2025 10-K, described there as 'primarily composed of' the ULA investment. This is larger than the ULA-specific carrying value the Q2 FY2026 10-Q separately discloses for the same 31 December 2025 date ($551 million), implying roughly $100 million of other, unnamed equity-method investees exist alongside ULA. That residual is not attributed to any named holding.
- United Launch Alliance was checked specifically for any announced or completed sale of Lockheed Martin's interest: none is disclosed in the Q2 FY2026 10-Q (period ended 28 June 2026, filed 23 July 2026) or the FY2025 10-K (filed 29 January 2026). The 10-Q's risk factors instead describe ULA as an ongoing joint venture for which Lockheed Martin 'has provided and expect[s] to provide additional financial guarantees,' consistent with continued, not divested, ownership as of this filing.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Whether Lockheed Martin's 50 percent ULA interest has since been put up for sale or is the subject of any agreement. Searched the Q2 FY2026 10-Q full text for 'sale of', 'divest', 'Blue Origin', 'definitive agreement' and 'strategic alternatives' in and around the ULA discussion: no hits. Nothing found as of the filings checked here (through the 23 July 2026 10-Q).
- The identity of roughly $100 million (at 31 December 2025) of equity-method investees other than ULA, and of any individual company names within the $784 million / $669 million portfolio of privately held early-stage investments. Neither the Q2 FY2026 10-Q nor the FY2025 10-K names any individual investee besides ULA.
- Capital Group / Capital Research's current Form 13F filer CIK could not be confirmed within the time budget. The CIK checked for a related entity (RBS Partners, L.P., 0000860585) has not filed a 13F-HR since 14 November 2022, so no Capital Group row is included.
- Norges Bank (Norway's sovereign wealth fund) was not checked in this pass; it does not file Form 13F (per the same finding on other companies researched in this project) and would need a different disclosure source to size any LMT position.
- No dollar value_usd is available for either insider row (Taiclet, and the 19-person officer/director group): the proxy's beneficial ownership table reports share and stock-unit counts only, with no dollar valuation column.
