No position on this side carries a sourced value, so there is nothing to chart. The table still lists 2 of them.

The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 1,114 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
1,114 managers reported a position, together holding 254.4m shares, or 92.6% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- State Street is a custodian bank and asset manager whose own 13F filings (as State Street Global Advisors) report client index-fund assets under management, not the firm's own capital. Per the brief's exclusion rule, these client-side index positions are not listed in holdings. The two entries in holdings are genuine principal investments made for State Street's own account.
- The 2025 Form 10-K discloses an aggregate carrying value of equity securities without readily determinable fair values (ASC 321 measurement alternative) of $585 million as of 31 December 2025, up from $341 million a year earlier, and investments in joint ventures and other unconsolidated entities of $3,753 million as of 31 December 2025. The filing does not break either figure down by counterparty, so it cannot be attributed to Apex Fintech, Ethic, or any single named stake; it is reported here as context, not as a holdings line item.
- The pre-existing 13F-derived register at data/registers/STT.json was reviewed but not used directly for share counts: its 40 rows sum to about 6.08bn shares against only 274.7m shares actually outstanding, roughly 22x too high, which is not physically possible for a single class of common stock. This looks like a CUSIP-aggregation defect in that file (the 53 CUSIPs it tracks likely span more than just STT common stock). Holder identities from it were used only as a sanity check on the fresher Nasdaq institutional-holdings feed used here, not as the shares/value source. One holder overlaps meaningfully: its 'Vanguard' figure of 36,990,956 shares is in the same order of magnitude as the two Vanguard entities used in this register.
- The Vanguard Group underwent an internal realignment effective 12 January 2026, moving portfolio management and proxy voting for its funds into two new wholly owned subsidiaries, Vanguard Capital Management LLC (VCM) and Vanguard Portfolio Management LLC (VPM). As a result, The Vanguard Group, Inc. itself filed a Schedule 13G/A on 27 March 2026 reporting 0% direct beneficial ownership of State Street, and its prior 13.43% stake (35,743,751 shares sole dispositive, per a 29 Jul 2025 13G/A as of 30 Jun 2025) is superseded. This register instead reports the current combined VCM plus VPM position (32,338,292 shares, 11.77%) as of the 30 Jun 2026 13F date, which is lower than the pre-realignment 13.43% and may not capture every Vanguard-affiliated reporting entity.
- BlackRock, Inc.'s 5%-holder line in the 2026 proxy (24,910,069 shares, 8.99%) is sourced to a Schedule 13G/A filed 25 January 2024 as of 31 December 2023, which the proxy states BlackRock has not updated since. This register instead uses BlackRock's fresher 30 Jun 2026 13F figure of 24,406,776 shares (8.885%), which is close to but not identical to the stale 13G number, a reasonable reconciliation since both point to a broadly stable ~8-9% stake.
- State Street Corp appears in its own register (13,538,311 shares, 4.93%) because SSGA's own index funds, including S&P 500 trackers, hold State Street's stock as a normal constituent. This is structural, not a treasury holding or a strategic position.
- State Street has no founder or dual-class share structure; the insider position is not the ownership story here the way it would be for a founder-controlled company. It is included per the brief's mandatory proxy requirement.
- Sourcing label corrected on review. These register rows are Nasdaq's aggregation of 13F filings, not the filings themselves, so they carry basis 'aggregator' and confidence 'reported' rather than 'filed_13f' and 'filed'. The underlying data is 13F, but this project distinguishes a figure read from a filing from one read from an aggregator, and the distinction is the whole point of the basis field.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- The dollar size and resulting equity percentage of State Street's minority investment in Apex Fintech Solutions (announced 3 September 2025) are not disclosed in either company's press release, State Street's 8-K filings, or its most recent 10-K/10-Q; searched SEC full-text search and both companies' investor relations pages without finding a figure.
- The dollar size and resulting equity percentage of SSGA's contribution to Ethic Inc.'s $64 million Series D round (announced 3 April 2025) are not disclosed; only the total round size is public.
- Whether State Street holds any Schedule 13D or 13G position (5%+ stake) in another public company for its own account was not found; no such filing surfaced in the sources checked, and the 10-K's equity-investments notes do not name individual counterparties, so this cannot be ruled in or out with a source.
- A precise common shares outstanding figure exactly as of 30 Jun 2026 (matching the register rows' 13F date) was not sourced; 274,701,765 as of 28 Jul 2026 (the nearest 10-Q cover-page count) was used as the denominator for all 13F-dated register rows instead.
