The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 2,086 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
2,086 managers reported a position, together holding 423.8m shares, or 87.0% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- ADI's most recent 10-Q as of 17 August 2026 covers the quarter ended 2 May 2026 (Q2 FY2026, filed 20 May 2026). Checked the EDGAR submissions feed for CIK 0000006281: the Q3 FY2026 10-Q, which would cover the quarter ending on or about 1 August 2026, had not been filed as of 17 August 2026 (ADI's fiscal year ends in early November; last year's equivalent Q3 10-Q was filed 20 August 2025). Shares outstanding, 487,087,040, is the cover-page figure from the Q2 FY2026 10-Q as of 2 May 2026.
- ADI does not file Form 13F. Its complete EDGAR filing history (submissions JSON, checked 17 August 2026) contains no 13F-HR or 13F-NT of any vintage filed BY Analog Devices itself, consistent with it not acting as an institutional investment manager.
- Holdings is empty and that is the sourced finding, not a gap. The FY2025 Form 10-K (period ended 1 November 2025, filed 25 November 2025) and the Q2 FY2026 Form 10-Q (period ended 2 May 2026, filed 20 May 2026) were both fetched and searched for 'equity method', 'equity investment', 'non-marketable', 'measurement alternative', 'unrealized', 'strategic investment', 'joint venture' and 'cost method'. The 10-Q contains none of these except boilerplate 'unrealized' hits about derivatives and AOCI, unrelated to equity stakes in other companies.
- The 10-K's accounting-policy Note 2s, 'Other Investments', states: 'Other investments consist of interests in venture capital funds and other long-term investments and are recorded in Other assets on the Consolidated Balance Sheets. Investments are accounted for using the equity method of accounting or cost, less any impairment, plus or minus changes resulting from observable price changes...' This confirms ADI holds some minority/venture-fund positions, but the note names no investee and gives no dollar figure specific to these investments: they are folded into the single balance sheet line 'Other assets' of $742,858 thousand at 1 November 2025 ($749,082 thousand at 2 November 2024), which itself is a combined bucket also covering the deferred-compensation-plan rabbi trust and other miscellaneous non-current items. Per the brief's rule on combined balances, no per-investee figure can be extracted, so no holding row is recorded; the combined balance is cited here instead of being distributed across guessed investees.
- ADI has a single class of common stock, $0.16 2/3 par value, one vote per share. No dual-class structure and no controlling founder block: co-founder Ray Stata's 791,897 shares are 0.162 percent of the company with no enhanced voting rights.
- Vanguard reporting is unusually complicated for this filing round. On 12 January 2026, The Vanguard Group, Inc. underwent an internal realignment under which certain subsidiaries and business divisions began reporting beneficial ownership separately (disaggregated) rather than rolled up into The Vanguard Group, Inc. A Schedule 13G/A filed 26 March 2026 under Vanguard Group's own CIK 0000102909 shows ALL ZEROS as of 13 March 2026, confirming the realignment stripped that entity's reported position going forward. The register's single Vanguard Group, Inc. row above deliberately keeps the last full Form 13F-HR filed under that CIK, for the quarter ended 31 December 2025 (filed 29 January 2026): that filing predates the realignment and is the best available FAMILY total, because a register row is meant to represent one holder's whole position, not one fragment of a since-split organization. Vanguard Group, Inc. filed Form 13F-NT (notice, no holdings) for the quarters ended 31 March 2026 and 30 June 2026, so no more recent 13F-HR figure exists under this CIK.
- A second, fresher, but PARTIAL figure exists for the same Vanguard family and is recorded here rather than as its own register row, specifically to avoid double counting: Vanguard Capital Management, LLC (CIK 0002100119), one of the entities created by the realignment, filed a fresh Schedule 13G on 29 April 2026 reporting 36,512,048 shares (7.47 percent, sole voting power 4,772,977 sh, sole dispositive power 36,512,048 sh) as of 31 March 2026, source https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/6281/000210011926000100/primary_doc.xml. This is very likely only PART of the total Vanguard-affiliated position in ADI post-realignment: other disaggregated Vanguard sub-entities may separately hold ADI stock below the 5 percent individual Schedule 13G filing threshold and would not appear in ADI's own EDGAR filing history. This figure and the Vanguard Group, Inc. 13F-HR row above must NEVER be summed: they are two snapshots (one pre-split family total, one post-split fragment) of overlapping Vanguard-affiliated ownership, not two distinct holders, and adding 10.394 percent to 7.47 percent would overstate Vanguard's true position in ADI, which sits in the roughly 9 to 11 percent range typical of a Vanguard stake in a large-cap stock.
- Proxy 5-percent-holder cross-check, recorded rather than resolved. ADI's DEF 14A (filed 23 January 2026, record date 8 January 2026) lists only two 5-percent holders: Vanguard Group Inc. at 49,618,676 shares (10.2 percent), sourced to a Schedule 13G/A filed 6 March 2025 reporting ownership as of 28 February 2025, and BlackRock Inc. at 38,733,607 shares (7.9 percent), sourced to a Schedule 13G/A filed 26 January 2024 reporting ownership as of 31 December 2023. Both are older, and in BlackRock's case much older, than the 13F-HR/13F-NT figures used in the register, consistent with the same pattern seen in the Broadcom research file. The register uses the fresher 13F data; these proxy figures are not used as register rows.
- Percentages are computed by this research against stated share counts, not taken from filings (except the Vanguard Capital Management 13G row, which uses the filer's own stated 7.47 percent). The 30 June 2026 13F rows use 487,087,040 shares outstanding as of 2 May 2026 (Q2 FY2026 10-Q cover). The Vanguard Group Inc. 13F-HR row uses 489,654,097 shares as of 1 November 2025 (FY2025 10-K cover, the closest available count to the 31 December 2025 measurement date). The insider and aggregate rows use 488,628,595 shares as of 8 January 2026, the denominator the proxy itself uses.
- Market capitalization of $189.67 billion is as published by stockanalysis.com as of 14 August 2026. Cross-check: 487,087,040 shares at roughly $389 per share implies approximately $189.4 billion, consistent to within rounding and the small share-count drift between 2 May 2026 and 14 August 2026.
- Insider rows overlap. The 'all directors and executive officers as a group (15 persons)' row of 1,771,101 shares (0.363 percent) contains the Roche and Stata rows above plus 13 further directors and officers not listed individually (each under 1 percent); do not sum it with the individually listed insiders.

Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Whether ADI's Q3 FY2026 10-Q (covering the quarter ending on or about 1 August 2026) contains any new equity-investment disclosure or updated share count. It was not yet filed as of 17 August 2026 per the EDGAR submissions feed for CIK 0000006281.
- The dollar amount specifically attributable to ADI's venture-capital-fund and equity/cost-method 'Other Investments' (10-K Note 2s). This is embedded, unbroken-out, inside the $742,858 thousand 'Other assets' balance sheet line at 1 November 2025 alongside unrelated items (including the deferred-compensation-plan rabbi trust); no supporting schedule in the 10-K splits it further, and no investee is named anywhere in the filing.
- The names of any specific companies or venture funds behind the 'Other Investments' note. Searched the FY2025 10-K and Q2 FY2026 10-Q full text for 'venture capital', 'equity method', 'joint venture', 'strategic investment' and 'investee'; only the generic accounting-policy description was found, with no company named.
- The complete, current, disaggregated Vanguard family position in ADI following the 12 January 2026 internal realignment. Only one disaggregated entity (Vanguard Capital Management, LLC, 7.47 percent as of 31 March 2026) was identified via ADI's own EDGAR filing history; other disaggregated Vanguard sub-entities holding ADI below the 5 percent Schedule 13G threshold would not be individually discoverable this way, and none of them file Form 13F under a CIK that was checked.
- Whether any Schedule 13D has ever been filed on ADI common stock. Checked the EDGAR submissions feed for CIK 0000006281: only Schedule 13G and 13G/A filings appear (all passive, Rule 13d-1(b)), consistent with no activist or control-seeking holder.
- Capital Research/Capital Group, T. Rowe Price and Norges Bank positions were not sourced. These commonly appear among large-cap semiconductor holders but no filer CIK for any of them was checked in this task; not included rather than guessed.
- Whether any 2026 acquisition or partnership announced by ADI (searched only SEC filings, not press coverage, within the time budget) carries an equity component. No such announcement was found in the 10-K, 10-Q or the two most recent 8-Ks (29 July 2026, a cybersecurity incident disclosure unrelated to holdings; 2 July 2026, not reviewed in detail).
